There are plenty of things which we get with our bank accounts. There are some words which can be only heard in the banking sector. And when we compare the Indian banking system with the other countries. We have stable and systematically arranged things in the Indian banking system. Well, not only systematic and stable but the Indian banking system also has some world-class features like UPI. (Unified Payment Interface) We come across terms like bank account statement, demand draft, dormant account, TDS Statement, and many more terms like that. But the most common one is the Mini Statement.
Today we will be learning about this statement. Everything right from the meaning and why it is used is mentioned here. We will also explain to you various methods that can be used by you to get it if you wish.
What is Mini Statement?
It is a kind of compressed bank account statement. Whereas you will find the list of transactions for the time period like 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and last financial year in the bank account statement. You can find the last 5 transaction details in the mini statement.

What is the Use of the Mini Statement?
The main use of the mini statement is to check the remaining balance in your bank account along with the details of the last 5 transactions that took place in your bank account. If you just want to check the remaining account balance, then you can also perform the balance inquiry of your account.
But if you want to get the details of your last 5 transactions along with your bank account balance then you should choose the mini statement feature of the bank.
How Can You Get this Statement of your Bank Account?
There are 2 methods that you can follow to obtain the mini statement of your bank account. Those methods are mentioned below.
- Through ATM Machine.
- And by Missed Call Banking.
Through ATM Machine
To get your mini statement through ATM Machine you have to go to any of the ATM Machine. Dip your card into the machine, choose the mini statement, and enter your PIN number. The printed copy will be dispensed by the ATM machine.
If you want to get the mini statement using the ATM Machine, then you can get it using any of the ATM Machines. Even those ATM Machines which are not owned by your bank.
I will help you out with an example, let us consider that you have a bank account with Canara Bank. And you have no ATM Machine owned by Canara Bank in your area.
But there is an Axis Bank ATM machine. Then you can use that Axis Bank ATM machine to get the mini statement of your Canara Bank account.
By Missed Call Banking
You have to give a missed call to the bank number. Every bank will have its own phone number. The customer of the bank has to give a missed call to that number. The call will be automatically disconnected after 2 seconds. The customer will get the last 5 transaction details via SMS from the bank.
When you are using the missed call banking feature of the bank, you have to keep one thing in your mind.
There are few banks in India whose customers have to activate missed call banking manually.
But there are few banks that keep this feature activated by default.
You can know the process to activate missed call banking on the official website of your bank. And the most important thing is you have to give the missed call only from your registered mobile number.
If you use any other smartphone whose mobile number is not registered with your bank account then you won’t receive any response from the bank.
What is a Registered Mobile Number?
This is the mobile number which you have given to the bank when you were opening the bank account. You will be receiving all the transaction alerts on this mobile number only.
This is what the real meaning of the Mini Statement is. And how you can use it. As I have mentioned that every bank which is operating in India has its own phone number for missed call banking, you can get more details about that number by contacting the customer care of the bank. If you don’t want to do that then you can get this data on the official website of the bank as well.
