A modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs
Watch writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV shows on IMDb, ranked by user rating. A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights in order to lease those rights to the company they represent. Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases, so they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, housing for the workers (man camp), assemble the drilling machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also, in part, troubleshooters, problem-solvers, and facilitators. I don’t know exactly how Paramount works, but I hope they’re like Apple TV and not Netflix. Netflix doesn’t even give them a chance to work. But Apple TV makes life miserable for them, and that’s what I love about them. The thing is, I and many others love this show and we want it all.
Don’t cancel it
Like the show itself, I never saw any of the trailers, but I was blown away by how many people are watching it and loving it. Then I saw the cast and I was just blown away. Billy Billy! And Ali Larter? She blew my mind!
It’s a beautiful show
The first thing I saw was Billy Bob Thornton in Goliath and I loved it. And Ali Larter in the Resident Evil movies. So I had to watch it and I’m glad I did. It’s sexy and it has a beautiful story. By the way, I hope Billy Bob gets Kayla Wallace!
I hope he does!
I want him to hit that beauty! I recommend it to everyone.
