Ryan Phuong is Sheldon’s Vietnamese-American childhood friend Tam. He introduces Sheldon to comic books and role-playing games. Zuleyka Silver plays Selena, Pastor Jeff’s Hispanic ex-wife. Sheldon has friction with her due to her religious beliefs. She also calls Sheldon a gold digger.
Dr. Gant Linkletter
Montana Jordan plays the role of Sheldon’s brother Georgie in Young Sheldon. He is a popular actor who has appeared in several television shows including Roseanne and Grey’s Anatomy. He is also well known for his performance in the film Whitetail Deer Hunter. Wallace Shawn as John Sturgis, Sheldon’s college physics professor. He has rhotacism and often clashes with Sheldon over his sloppy grammar.
Paige Swanson (Mckenna Grace) is Sheldon’s 10-year-old student who has better social skills than him and can discuss subjects other than science. She is a rival to him for Dr. Sturgis’ affections.
Billy Gardell
Billy Gardell is a familiar face to CBS viewers, having previously starred in Mike and Molly. He has also appeared on New Girl and Girl Meets World. He plays Herschel Sparks’ son, Billy, on Young Sheldon. He teases Sheldon just as much as Georgie but is less academically inclined. Billy is very perceptive, though.
Raegan Revord plays Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s younger twin sister. She is very perceptive and while she doesn’t have the same intellectual capabilities as Sheldon, she does have a strong love for him.
Ryan Phuong
Ryan Phuong portrays Tam Nguyen, Sheldon’s Vietnamese-American childhood friend who introduced him to many of his non-scientific interests. He also played the adult version of Tam on The Big Bang Theory.
He is a highly talented actor who can make audiences laugh with his humorous performances. Young Sheldon has given him tremendous recognition and his performance is commendable. He has earned a considerable net worth from his acting career. He has several upcoming projects in his pipeline.
Melissa Peterman
Melissa Peterman has been acting on TV since the 1990s and is known for her roles in Reba and Baby Daddy. She is also a regular on the CBS comedy series Young Sheldon as Brenda Sparks. Zoe Perry plays Mary Cooper, Sheldon’s overprotective mother. She is an experienced stage and television actress and has appeared in shows such as Roseanne, Scandal, and Private Practice.

Brenda Sparks
Reba McEntire recurred as June Ballard, Dale’s ex and the hairdresser Meemaw befriended. She also portrayed Amy, who is essentially Sheldon’s female counterpart. Wyatt McClure portrays Billy Sparks, the son of the Cooper family’s neighbors Herschel and Brenda. He starts off the series as Sheldon’s nemesis but eventually becomes his friend.
He teases Sheldon, Georgie and Missy but she also loves him. She has a keen sense of social cues and often catches Sheldon off guard. Her wit is unmatched. She is a force to be reckoned with.
